We use the bare minimum of browser storage. Here is exactly what we store, why, and how to remove it at any time.

This Cookie Policy explains how AtlanticBay ("we", "us", or "our"), operated from 145 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies on this website. We are committed to being fully transparent about what we store and why. Our approach is deliberately minimal: we use the least storage necessary for the platform to function responsibly.
Cookies are small text files that a website places in your browser when you visit. They are used for a wide variety of purposes across the internet — from essential site functions like keeping you logged in, to tracking your behaviour across multiple sites for advertising purposes. Not all cookies are equal, and this policy explains exactly which category AtlanticBay falls into.
Beyond traditional HTTP cookies, modern browsers also support a related technology called localStorage — a client-side key-value store that persists data in your browser without sending it to a server. AtlanticBay uses localStorage rather than traditional HTTP cookies to store your age confirmation and consent preference. This distinction matters: localStorage data never leaves your device, cannot be read by our server, and cannot be used to track you across other websites. It functions purely as a local note to your own browser.
AtlanticBay uses exactly two localStorage entries on your device. Both are functional in nature — they exist to make the platform work correctly, not to collect data about you.
No other cookies, localStorage entries, or sessionStorage entries are written by AtlanticBay. No tracking identifiers, user IDs, analytics session tokens, or advertising identifiers are stored anywhere on your device by our platform.
When you load AtlanticBay, your browser also fetches resources from three external CDN providers: Bootstrap 5.3 from unpkg.com (operated by npm, Inc.), Font Awesome 6.4 from cdnjs.cloudflare.com (operated by Cloudflare, Inc.), and the Exo 2 and Inter typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com (operated by Google LLC). These are standard content delivery network requests that are common across millions of websites.
These CDN providers may set their own cookies or record your IP address and browser details in their server logs as part of serving the requested files. This is standard CDN behaviour. We have no control over what these providers log or store, and we do not receive that data. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of unpkg.com, Cloudflare, and Google if you have concerns about their logging practices.
We have deliberately not integrated any analytics services (such as Google Analytics), advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or any other third-party services that would set cookies for commercial profiling purposes. The only third parties involved are the CDN providers listed above, whose purpose is purely to deliver static assets.
You have full control over the localStorage data that AtlanticBay writes to your browser. You can remove our stored entries at any time using your browser's built-in storage management tools. In most browsers, this is accessible via the Developer Tools panel (usually opened with F12), under the Application or Storage section. Look for the localStorage entries with the keys atb_age_ok, atb_ck_ok, and atb_ck_no and delete them individually, or simply clear all site data for our domain.
Alternatively, clearing all browsing data or all cookies and site data in your browser settings will remove these entries along with all other stored data from all websites. After clearing, you will be asked to confirm your age again the next time you visit, and our cookie banner will reappear.
If you decline our cookie banner, a single localStorage entry (atb_ck_no) is written to record your choice so the banner does not repeat. This entry has no tracking function — it is used solely to respect your preference and not display the banner again. If you wish to change your choice, clear the localStorage as described above and the banner will reappear.
If you have questions about our use of cookies or localStorage, concerns about the entries we write to your device, or any other privacy-related enquiry, please contact us using the details below. We are a small team and we read every message personally.
